    VASL - VALLEY ATHLETIC SOCIAL LEAGUE <br> www.vasleague.com <br> <br> As our fall leagues finish up...we will be starting our winter league registration on December 1st! Leagues start in January! You may register by going to our website www.vasleague.com and clicking on the "register for league" tab. As always, we will accept members (individuals, couples, small groups) & teams on a first-come, first-served basis. As a reminder, our league is offersSOFTBALL, FLAG FOOTBALL, KICKBALL, SAND VOLLEYBALL, BASKETBALL & SOCCER (6-on-6) most seasons. Our leagues run 8 weeks. All leagues aim to provide you with the ultimate social sports experience and include LEAGUE T-SHIRTS, PERSONALIZED AWARDS, HAPPY HOUR DISCOUNTS AND BAR GAMES, & AN UNBELIEVABLE OPEN BAR END-OF-SEASON PARTY! We spare no expense providing you with the best facilities in Scottsdale and the best equipment (our flag football flags even make sonic boom to indicate the play is dead). Most of our leagues even have hospitality tents to provide extra shade with a cooler of ice water and gatorade... If you are an individual/free agent, couple, or small group...don't worry about getting stuck on a team you don't like in our league or being added like a spare part to an already existing team that signed up as a whole! All of you are put on new teams each week as we manually craft the schedules each week so that you and/or the group you signed up with gets to meet and play with & against everyone in the league! About Kickball

The rules of Kickball are very similar to that of baseball. However, instead of hitting a baseball, a Kickball player kicks a rubber ball. The goal is to score runs/points by running around and touching all four bases in order without getting out.

Kickball History

Kickball, also known as soccer-base or soccer-baseball, was invented in the United States around 1942. American World War II correspondent Ernie Pyle reported U.S. soldiers playing Kickball during the Tunisia Campaign, 1942-1943. Kickball is currently a playground and recreational game primarily played in North America. It is also a favorite game of youth in South Korea.

Kickball Tips

Players can work on their Kickball skills by catching and throwing a Kickball against a wall in order to work on their fielding skills. They can choose a target and try to throw and hit it with the Kickball. Serious players can work on their base running by sprinting short distances.
